real estate

Havila is often admired for its willingness to seize opportunities and take calculated risks. But that requires roots which are firmly embedded in the soil. And that is where real estate comes in.

When Sævik Supply was sold in 1997, the company put its money into shipbuilding, shipping and property. It was important to have several legs to stand on.

Havila Ariel was established in 2007 and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2008. The company owned a combination of office and commercial buildings let out on long leases to financially sound tenants.

The company was delisted after a few years, and is now the investment company for some of the Sævik family’s properties. Today, Havila Ariel has three properties: two office blocks in the Stavanger region and one combined office and commercial building in Hareid.

Havila Holding has several other properties, including the building in Fosnavåg that houses Havyard Group.

In 2008, the Havila Group moved into new headquarters at Mjølstadneset. The glass-clad building, which is precisely aligned with the compass points, has become a local landmark and shows the way for those sailing in the sea roads beyond.
